Reduced Tuition Application Information
If you wish to apply for reduced tuition for the 2010-11 school year, please follow the instructions below.
Application Process
Maple Street School works with an outside company to evaluate requests for financial aid: School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). The application process can be done either online or through the mail. It requires a bit of time to gather the numerous documents related to your family’s finances and then to actually complete the applicator form.
Those wishing to apply via-hard copy may see Cecile at the school reception desk; she has a limited number of paper applications. All others may apply online at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss.
Please ensure that you use of the school code for Maple Street School: 4555.
Application Fee
The application fee is $42; should this present a hardship to your family, MSS has a limited number of fee waivers. Please contact Director Wendy Cole to request a fee waiver.
Deadline
The deadline for submission to SSS is February 15, 2010.
Evaluating Applications
SSS will process your information and in up to three weeks and will send MSS a “Report of Family Contribution.” If SSS has any questions about your forms or if information is missing you will be contacted by them. It is your responsibility to provide accurate and timely information to SSS so the report they send to us accurately reflects your contribution status. Families will be providing all financial information directly to SSS.
If your current financial information is significantly different from the information you are filing, you may send a supplemental letter directly to Maple Street School (addressed to ATTN: Financial Officer) explaining the difference.
MSS reserves the right to request supporting documentation for any and all applications.
Notification
MSS will review the family report information and all other information available and determine the families with the highest need. Families selected for reduced tuition will be notified by mail from Maple Street School in April 2010; first tuition payments are due July 1, 2010.
PLEASE NOTE that the registration deposit for your child’s schedule is still due on April 23, 2010.
