Visiting the School

Families who are interested in the Maple Street School must attend an open house or tour between October and February. Families are encouraged to ask questions and learn about the school’s cooperative and play-based model to ensure that the school and the family are a good fit for each other. After learning about the school, families can submit an application for the following September.

Application Process

• Application Form: You can pick up an application when you visit the school.
• Registration Fee: New families must pay a non-refundable application fee of $50. Please include with your application a check or money order made out to "Maple Street School."
• Deadline: Our deadline for applications is February 1.
• Notification: We will notify you if your child is being offered a seat by March 15. You will also be notified if your child is being placed on the waiting list.

Schedule Options

Children's schedules at Maple Street School vary. Most of the twos attend for two half days or two full days per week. Most threes and fours attend for two, three, or five full days per week. Alternate schedules may be requested, though we may not be able to accommodate every family's preference.

Toilet Training

We do not require that children be toilet trained when they start school.
